Quinty Bakehouse School Excursions

Quinty Bakehouse school excursions are designed to introduce children of a wide range of ages to artisan bakery with a focus on traditional and natural food production.

The excursion will commence with a working bakery tour followed by a discussion of the techniques and history of bread making led by one of our artisan bread bakers.

The student excursions and bread education tour applies to many areas of the school curriculum including biology, PDHPE and Chemistry.

Excursion Outline

  • Tour of the production area
  • Hands on bakery class
  • Q & A with the bakers
  • One teacher must be present for every 15 students

Primary / Afterschool Centres (Years 1-6)

  • No minimum number is required 
  • Maximum of 50 students
  • 1 hour tour with taste testings
  • Cost is $5 per head

Secondary Students (Years7-12)

  • No minimum number is required
  • Maximum of 30 Students
  • 1 and a half hour tour with taste testings
  • Cost is $6 per head
