History of the Bakehouse

1902 - At the turn of the century, the federal Hall was built as it once was known, in Morgan St (known then as the Olympic Highway) the place for many special occasions and dances

1910 - Converted into a store and residence

1940 - During the war, the RAAF used the premises as a Pool Hall and had 6 tables.

1950 - Operated as a drapery-hardware-grocery store for many years

1965 - Operated as a service station and garage. Closed for about 10-15 yrs with not much happening

2002 - Work started for a Bakery to open

2004 - 25th of June, the day had arrived to finally open the Organic Bakery/Café by Paul and Tania Gillanders
